We are looking for a Financial Accountant with previous experience of the production of monthly management accounts, year-end accounts and financial reporting to work in our small Finance Team. Your main responsibilities will be the preparation of full Company Management Accounts and the production of Finance Board Packs involving high level exposure and interaction with the FD and CFO.
About the Role
Based at our Support Centre in Birstall, reporting to our Senior Financial Accountant, the role offers good exposure to our Senior Management team and the opportunity to be involved in the end-to-end finance process within a growing, continually developing and progressive UK wide consumer finance business.
The role combines technical and management accounting together with commercial finance support to the business. You will be responsible for the end-to-end preparation and presentation of our full Company Management Accounts and the associated Board Packs and you will also:
- Prepare Gross Profit and Overheads analysis as part of the month-end review
- Prepare and maintain Balance Sheet control accounts; fixed asset / lease schedules, income and impairment calculations
- Support the production of the year-end accounts and statutory packs
- Assist the audit process and support the Finance Department with various projects

About you
An experienced, qualified or part-qualified accountant with demonstrable experience gained within a similar role, an excellent communicator and well organised with advanced Excel skills and forensic attention to detail.
You can demonstrate that you are highly proficient at prioritising your day-to-day activities and that you can develop and deliver realistic plans to ensure all routine and ad-hoc accountancy deadlines and targets are fully met within the expected timescales.
If you have experience gained in a fast moving and regulated environment that would also be helpful.
