Award winning independent business in Maidstone is looking for an Assistant Accountant to work closely with the Financial Controller to manage payroll and help prepare accounts for 3 small subsidiaries within the group.
Working with Sage 50, this hugely varied role will have responsibility for processing a high volume payroll for 150 monthly paid staff, 250 weekly paid, some of which being subcontractors.
In addition to the payroll, the Assistant Accountant will have responsibility for;
- Cashbook
- Processing sales invoices
- Preparing client statements
- Journals, accruals, prepayments
As the main thrust of the role is payroll, candidates must be confident with running payroll in a high volume/busy environment (ideally with Sage 50) as well as relevant experience in preparing accounts to trial balance. In addition, candidates should enjoy working in a dynamic setting, and possess a 'can do' attitude.
