Description

This is a new and exciting opportunity for an experienced Financial Controller to make their mark and shape the finance function as the business grows. Reporting in to the CEO, you will be the head of finance, managing a team of 4.

As the Financial Controller, you will provide financial and commercial leadership for the business, working alongside other department heads and directors to ensure that the business is able to progress towards achieving its short, medium and long-term performance objectives.

Day-to-day will see you motivating and leading the finance department, acting as the financial conscience for the business and ensuring awareness of all key financial matters. You will be the key contact for all operational and senior management teams in terms of finance, and will be responsible for producing reports, developing forecasts and budgets, and assisting the CEO in presenting such to senior executives, stakeholders and board members.

Profile

The right Financial Controller will be:-

A Qualified Accountant (ACCA/CIMA/ACA)

Ideally with experience of working with construction contracts and an understanding of the valuation process.

You will have an ability to work effectively to meet deadlines and organise/prioritise your workload to do so.

Previous experience of managing a team is desired, as well as experience of computerised accounting systems, financial control within the construction/development sector, and accounting experience in a busy, progressive and tightly managed SME business.
