Assistant Accountant

Quedgley

£13 - £16 ph

Robert Half are currently recruiting for an Assistant Accountant for a fantastic client based in Quedgley. This opportunity is a maternity leave cover position

Main duties
  • Reconciliation work (balance sheet and bank recs)
  • Updating warranty and returns reporting schedules
  • Weekly trading packs including sales and profit by BU reports
  • Assisting with budget prep
  • Helping with all Interim and year end work - including pulling together information and working files for auditors
  • Analysis of sales and margins
  • Checking and reporting on variances of supplier pricing
  • Assisting with all aspects of month end reporting and close
  • Preparing and posting authorised journals
  • Calculating accruals, provisions and prepayments


Knowledge, Skills & Experience

Essential:
  • Ideally 3 years experience gained within industry
  • Strong systems knowledge and good Excel skills
  • Good communication and organisational skills
  • Flexible and able to work in busy environment meeting deadlines




Desirable:

Experience gained within stock distribution company environment

Knowledge of SAP/Other ERP systems
