Senior Pension Administrator

Edinburgh

Our Client's Administration Governance (AG) team are currently looking for a Senior Administrator to join their long-standing team.

As Senior Administrator, you will support the core administration teams, who provide a portfolio of member tracing and mortality services, data quality assessments, and various other projects relating to data reviews and the quality of data held on their administration systems for occupational pension schemes.

As Senior Administrator, you will work alongside the other members of the team to deliver the range of services that AG offers.

The team requires someone who has excellent organisation skills and ideally a good knowledge of Excel - as you will deliver high volumes of work to multiple recipients, to fixed timescales.

The successful candidate will be someone who will take ownership of their own work and development of the products, and be comfortable liaising with all stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

  • Tracing activities: Assign or log new requests accordingly; review and reformatting of data; collation and load of data to third parties; issuing trace results; dealing with any query resolution.
  • Pensioner mortality screening activities: Schedule and request new data from admin; collation of new and revised data files and loading to third party; thorough analysis of data at all stages; issuing of monthly results; dealing with query resolution.
  • Data validation activities: Receiving new requests and proactively scheduling annual Common and
  • Conditional data validation exercises; agreement of scheme proforma; review, reformat and issuing results; dealing with any query resolution.
  • Other services: There may be a need to work on GMP Reconciliation work, Certificate of Existence and
  • Verification Exercises, Benefit Audits and any other new services tested or implemented.
  • Oversee all aspects of service delivery across projects, ensuring the completion of agreed work from clients; internal colleagues are to time quality and costs.
  • Assist in the management and maintenance of documentation.
  • Ensure stakeholders are regularly kept up to date with the project status.
  • Provide support to peers and administrators in resolving complex issues to a satisfactory conclusion, including training as and when necessary.
  • Reconciliation of third party invoices.

Skills required

  • Knowledge of pensions
