Head of Technology (Innovation/Agile) - Banking - £100k + Bonus

Remuneration: £90k to £100k + Bonus + Benefits

Role Summary:

An opportunity has arisen for a Head of Technology (Innovation) with a leading Banking institution, to help drive significant innovation and change that touches upon every facet of technology, people, process and culture.

The role of Head of Technology (Innovation) is an integral part of the senior management team, working in conjunction with the CIO to lead on the Banks strategy to innovate and disrupt their way of working.

We are actively pursuing individuals from a diverse background, who have the drive an determination to take on a significant and challenging leadership role to disrupt, innovate, challenge the status quo and 'shake-up' their way of working.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the innovation process inside the Bank, identifying strategies, sensing opportunities and new technologies

• Leadership on all technology issues, management of the technology research and review function, ensuring the alignment of technology vision with business strategy, and for driving technology innovation.

• Tracking new technology developments in areas of interest to the Bank, ensuring it maintains a technological edge within the industry, analysing and improving upon technology standards and maintaining awareness of new technologies

• Sharing of best practices, trends, new technologies and business trends with key stakeholders - bringing ideas to life

• Nurture, coach, mentor and develop high performing teams; helping individuals determine the best way to reach their professional goals

• Help to shape an agile based delivery environment and coach those internally as to why agile should be introduced within technology programmes and projects

Experience:

• Demonstrable experience of working in a culture of continuous delivery and improvement - Can show evidence of creating a culture of innovation for delivery teams

• Proven contributor to business vision and innovation

• Prior experience having driven technology based transformation and change

• Successful stakeholder management to ET/board level

• Ability to nurture and motivate teams to be highly performing

• Nature and motivate teams to be highly performing

• Embed Agile ways of working.
