The Group Management Accountant will be a key member of the accountancy team. Led by the Finance Director, this team is formed of ten members and is responsible for the Group's financial forecasting, planning and analysis, cashflow and treasury management, group reporting and technical accounting, taxation, audit, operational and commercial finance and corporate accounting for the head office function.

My client is a Luxury Hotel Group based in South West London, which currently has properties throughout Europe and the Middle East, with a further properties under development.

Description

As the Group Management Accountant your role will include the following tasks and responsibilities:

  • Preparation, Review and Analysis of weekly and monthly management information
  • Assist the Group Finance & Reporting Manager in interpreting results and drafting monthly financial commentary for the Executive Committee, Financing Banks and other Stakeholders
  • Assist the Group Finance & Reporting Manager in challenging financial reports, forecasts and budgets submitted by the hotels; direct and proactive liaison with the hotels
  • Assist the Group Finance & Reporting Manager in forecasts, budgets and KPI analysis for the Management Board and the Group's Financing Banks
  • Co-ordination and consolidation of three / five year plan for Group
  • Co-ordinate budget process
  • Assist the Group Finance & Reporting Manager in suggesting and delivering improvements to the format and content of management reports, covering financial information and key performance indicators
  • Prepare financial information for Operational Performance reviews of the Hotels and Corporate Office
  • Assist with the preparations of business plans and feasibility studies for potential new properties to the portfolio
  • Assist with the integration of new properties into the company reporting format
  • Assist with the monitoring and controlling of central revenues and costs
  • Ad hoc projects typical for this type of role.

Profile

As the Group Management Accountant you will:

  • Be a part qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA or ACA).
  • Have advanced Excel skills.
  • Ideally have hospitality background and will have worked as a management accountant.
  • Have strong analytical skills.
  • Be able to show commitment to meeting tight reporting deadlines.
  • Have the ability to work under pressure and ability to organise one's own work to ensure priorities are delivered on time and expectations of stakeholders are appropriately managed.
  • Have the ability to plan ahead and make sufficient time to quality control one's own work.
  • Have superior communications skills to establish credibility with the hotels.
  • Have excellent attention to detail and committed to high quality standards.
  • Have language skills (English written and spoken essential, in addition Italian, German, Russian or Arabic desirable).

Job Offer

£40,000 - £45,000 + Extensive benefits package.
