Within Citi's Private Bank, the Investment Finance Structured Lending team provides debt financing to its clients and their businesses. Our Sponsor Finance team is focused on underwriting large credit facilities to established private equity firms, predominantly to bridge fund investment opportunities. The primary function of this position is to support the credit underwriting teams in their principal task of valuing private equity funds and their limited partners. This encompasses financial statement analysis, ratings determination, and the drafting of borrowing base models. Providing statistical analysis on the collateral portfolio through model aggregation as well as improving model functionality and performance is also required. Secondarily, the role involves supporting the team's business heads with the growth and management of the product through the reporting of credit exposure, preparation of presentations, market research, deal pipeline management, and sales prospecting. A strong analytical background together with advanced spreadsheet, database, and programming technical ability is necessary. The career path of this position is expected to lead into a credit underwriting / account manager role in the 3-4 year term. Qualifications • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Engineering, or Masters in Business Administration • Academic Coursework in Accounting and Financial Statement Analysis • Experience with Excel Data Analysis, Access Database Design, and Visual Basic Programming • 2-3 Years Working Experience in Banking & Finance is Preferred • Note: Due to Citi's limited Visa allocation, candidates must be permitted to work in the United States indefinitely as permanent residents.
