An exciting opportunity to provide comprehensive management accounting and line management support to the Stock and Margins Lead in the form of a Stock and Margins Management Accountant. You will have responsibility over the production of management accounts predominantly focused around stock and margins, including P+L, balance sheet, and revenue work/analysis. Under the supervision of the Stock and Margins Lead, 2-3 accounts assistants will report into you, and you will be involved with the monitoring and development of these individuals.
This is a hands-on opportunity that would suit an experienced (qualified) candidate with an up-and-coming personality and drive to succeed. Progression is available within the wider business and encouraged for the right person.
Role
This job will entail the following;
- Assisting and overseeing production of Management Accounts for Stock and Margins department. This has a heavy retail emphasis (stock and margin work, stock and distribution identification, analysis etc)
- P+L, balance sheet, revenue and variance analysis as expected. Accruals and prepayments where required.
- Budgeting, forecasting and reporting where required.
- Direct line management responsibility over 2-3 part-qualified staff members (supported by your senior), including 1-to-1's, performance reviews, development plan production, delegation, and personable management.
- Assisting with implementation / rollout of new software, and streamlining of processes in coming months (SAP)
- Supporting the Stock and Margins Lead with other duties as required.
Profile
The ideal candidate will have the following profile;
- Solid Management Accounting experience (2 years or more)
- Qualified ACA/CIMA/ACCA (ideally newly qual)
- Experience managing staff in some capacity - 1-2 direct line reports will suffice, but you must be keen on the idea of managing a small team.
- Good worth ethic with desire to progress
- Experience with SAP, and ideally Oracle (not essential)
Salary & Benefits
Up to £49,000 package (£45,000 base Salary with 10% discretionary bonus)
