Purchase Ledger Clerk

A specialist Legal firm based in the Liverpool area is currently recruiting for a Purchase Ledger Clerk to join their team on a permanent basis. This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-paced department within a growing organisation. Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Purchase Ledger Clerk will be responsible for managing the purchase ledger function for multiple companies within the group. Working alongside the Sales Ledger team, this will require a candidate who has a flexible approach to picking up new skills.

The Purchase Ledger Clerk will be responsible for:

• Inputting a high volume of invoices onto company system using multiple cost codes
• Ensuring all invoices are authorised
• Preparing and submitting BACS payments
• Bank and statement reconciliations
• Setting up new suppliers on the system
• Handling supplier queries
• Ledger close down at month end

Essential Requirements are:

• Previous experience in a similar role
• Sage experience would be beneficial
• Ability to work independently
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong organisational skills
