Regulation, Compliance and Anti-Financial Crime (AFC) protects the integrity and reputation of Deutsche Bank. It manages the Bank's risks and help to avert unintentional rule breaches and conflicts of interest. At the same time, we also advise the bank on ethical conduct and governance issues and keep the bank up to date on regulatory and political challenges. Position Overview

Overview
The role-holder is part of the regional business line advisory team in the APAC region. The team is part of the Anti-Financial Crime (AFC) function and provides advice on AFC matters to the business and receives escalations for review to ensure the bank complies with its global Anti-Financial Crime Policies and Procedures.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
  • Develop ongoing and open communication with representatives across the various GTB business lines operating in the APAC region resulting in strong business engagement on AFC matters
  • Work with global policy and BL AFC teams on the continued implementation of the AFC program.
  • Participate in AFC projects and intitivates providing support to Country and identifying issues within local-global framework that need to be resolved from a policy perspective
  • Receive and resolve escalations from the local country AFC officers which involve discussion and coordination with global teams
  • Provide appropriate information to ensure AFC management are aware of the AFC related risks for your coverage area in a timely fashion
  • Responsible for representing AFC on local business risk committees where applicable
  • Assist the regional head in driving resolutions of local and regional issues with global teams across AML, Sanctions and ABC
  • Work with the Business Client Intelligence Unit in preparing AFC risk of Clients and where applicable conduct local onsite due diligence visit.
    Key Qualifications and Experience
    • A minimum of 8-10 years AFC experience in the banking industry
    • Ideally an AFC related qualification
    • Thorough knowledge of the APAC regulatory landscape
    • Excellent project management skills
    • An excellent communicator to all levels of the business and able to build a thorough network of key stakeholders
    • Ability to execute and drive change
    • Strong coordination and organisation skills and “can do” attitude is a must.
