Our client is a leading aircraft leasing and asset management company providing specialist services to clients, including some of the world's leading financial institutions, government entities, operators and investors. We have a portfolio of over 200 aircraft on lease to more than 60 different airlines worldwide. They are currently looking for a Financial Accountant to join their team. Responsibilities: Tax Compliance Assisting with the preparation of Corporation Tax Projections on an ongoing basis Preparation, coordination and review of tax provisions for inclusion in management and financial accounts Assisting in preparing and reviewing of Corporation Tax Returns Preparing Group Tax Reporting Packs and Preparing VAT Calculations and Returns Assisting with the Preparation and Filing of other Ad Hoc Tax Returns Tax Advisory Assisting with the review, from a tax perspective, on legal documentation relating to our aircraft purchase, lease novation, sale and lease transactions (“the Transactions”) Supporting the Transaction Deal Teams, as required by providing relevant input to the Transaction and assisting with tax due diligence on the Transactions Giving consideration to the Irish and international tax implications of the Transactions. This may include review of relevant Double Tax Treaties, consideration of any withholding taxes and Irish or international Sales/VAT, Stamp, CGT, Income or other taxes which may arise Assisting with, and providing input into, efficient structuring from a tax planning perspective. This includes consideration of aircraft acquisition structures, financing structures and joint venture structures Where relevant, liaising with our external tax advisers and structuring, reviewing advice received and communicating issues to senior management Assisting with managing and limiting permanent establishment exposures Assistance with transfer pricing considerations and ensuring appropriate supporting documentation is in place Assistance with ad hoc tax related projects including consideration  of  BEPS related tax changes and the implementation of any new legislation in countries which we have established subsidiary or associated companies Ad-hoc Involvement in commercial project work, particularly as it may relate to structuring both from a corporate or transaction perspective Adhoc project involvement and support to senior management which may include systems and process improvements Ensuring adherence to internal policies and best practice Assisting in the approval of treasury payments. Assisting in the management and co-ordination of risk management procedures with respect to external tax advice Assisting with fee management with respect to external tax service providers Requirements: Minimum 3 years' experience working in a tax environment in practice/industry ACA/ACCA qualified AITI/CTA qualified Aircraft leasing related experience within practice/industry Have a good technical knowledge of current tax legislation and strong tax compliance skills and a working knowledge of international tax issues Possess demonstrable analytical skills and an ability to learn quickly Have excellent team working abilities Be an enthusiastic and strong communicator, highly organised and a self-starter
