Junior Payroll Clerk - Payroll Department - Hawthorn East office

About the Role:

An opportunity is available for a suitable candidate to join Cabrini's busy Payroll Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for processing departments as instructed, including checking and validating the KRONOS entries, handle enquiries relating to staff in their allocated departments within the framework of the Mission and Values of Cabrini Health and established Policies and Guidelines.

Duties and Responsibilities include:

Provide a compassionate and competent service to all staff in line with the Cabrini Health Mission, Values and Vision Process New Starters Leave processing and payouts Terminations and reinstatements Changing master file data eg. Incremental increases, status changes, allowances and deductions Processing payroll queries/adjustments Liaising with managers Leave audits Daily monitoring of KRONOS attendance EBA/Award interpretation Holiday relief for other payroll officers Running fortnightly payroll and adjustment payruns Salary sacrifice deductions Workers compensation payments

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:

High morale and co-operation, whilst fostering an environment promoting safe teamwork Operate as part of the Payroll team, supporting staff under the overall leadership of the Payroll Services Manager Acknowledge the need for flexibility and teamwork, and perform or co-ordinate performance of other duties within skills and capabilities as required Excellent written and oral communication skills Ability to plan and organise systematic follow up of key issues Ability to prioritise workload and operate with a high degree of autonomy Good interpersonal skills with ability to work with staff at all level Establish good communications with other staff and departments Contribute toward the ongoing improvement of processes within the department Evidence of being a team player with the ability to work with others on shared goals in flexible leadership/support roles Ability to drive outcomes with respect to payroll issues and make appropriate recommendations

Experience

Experience with administration duties Demonstrable experience in dealing with and resolving issues Qualifications are not essential
