International Tax Accountant

Our client are now looking to recruit an experienced International Tax Accountant to join the team. The successful candidate for this role can either be based in Portsmouth or Slough.

What will I need to succeed in this role?

As the ideal International Tax Accountant, you will be ACA, ACCA, CIMA or CTA qualified, typically with proven post qualification experience. Accompanying your strong academic background, you will have an excellent technical knowledge of UK tax and experience of preparing Tax computations or Statutory accounts and supporting them through the review or external audit process. You will also have the following skills & experience:

• Experience of a strong financial control environment,
• Computer literate, Intermediate Excel, Strong Microsoft Word & Powerpoint
• Proven record of process improvement

Desirable

• Exposure to legal entity accounting for International Groups
• Exposure to tax accounting for International Groups
• Experience of using Oracle Financials or a similar system
• Experience of reviewing tax returns or auditing statutory accounts
• Exposure to UK and EU VAT, US GAAP and/ or European GAAPs
• Exposure to US SOX 404 Requirements

What will I be responsible for?

Joining the team as the International Tax Accountant, you will join work alongside the centralised accounting and finance organisation and other local finance teams to challenge and produce the quarterly consolidated tax forecast following US GAAP under ASC 740.

You will assist with analysing contract deals for VAT and Corporation Tax as well as group restructuring for tax purposes.

You will also produce the required reports for their US Tax colleagues and identify potential opportunities for the group.
