Financial Controller

A hands on Financial Controller role to undertake all aspects of financial management

Responsible for managing the finance team as well as development of internal control.

My client is the world's leading sports media group, with offices in USA, London and Asia and has grown significantly over the last few decades. Based inHammersmith andFulham, my client works with a number of well known brands and professionals within the Media, Entertainment and Sports industries to provide strategic consulting, branding and partnerships.

Description

• Ownership of the day-to-day management and development of accounting team.
• Manage the preparation of monthly consolidated financial statements under IFRS and USGAAP.
• Creation, implementation and delivery of financial controls
• Manage the annual audit process and liaising with external auditors.
• Manage the preparation of month end accounts and VAT returns.
• Manage the preparation of year-end statutory accounts.
• Oversee tax and compliance.
• Perform treasury functions
• Assist with ad-hoc projects requests.

Profile

• Qualified accountant, (ACA/CIMA/ACCA) with post qualified experience in a similar position.
• Ability to critically analyse and provide recommendations to inform business decisions and drive change.
• Excellent communicator with both internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
• Strong team management experience.
• Sound technical understanding of IFRS and local accounting standards.
• Entertainment, Sport or Media experience beneficial.

Job Offer

The Financial Controller role that will be based in the Hammersmith and Fulham office comes with a competitive salary based on experience and will include: Base salary, discretionary bonus, pension, 20 days annual leave + bank holidays + festive season closure, private health.
