Finance Manager - Start-Up Consumer Brand

One of the UK's fastest growing consumer brands start-ups is recruiting a newly-created Finance Manager role.

My client is a high growth start-up quickly becoming one of the UK's most recognisable consumer brands. They have been growing since inception in 2012 and are now valued over £20m as they look to expand internationally. In line with this growth they're recruiting for a Finance Manager.

Description

As the Finance Manager you will be based in London and work closely with the Financial Controller to build out the processes, support projects, and run the day-to-day of the function which will require you to "roll up your sleeves". Your key responsibilities will include:

- Supporting across the day-to-day finances, including month end reporting with additional commentary;

- Taking a proactive approach to aiding the development and design of the board packs for internal stakeholders;

- Supporting the budgeting and forecasting process, including meetings with budget holders;

- Leading on year end accounts preparation and year-end audit;

- Assisting with VAT and corporation tax returns;

- Oversight of credit control and invoicing processes;

- Ad hoc reporting and modelling as required (e.g. event analysis).

Profile

As a strong applicant for this start-up Finance Manager role you will:

• Be a qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA) ideally with a background in audit/accounts;

• Demonstrate strong technical knowledge across IFRS reporting;

• Be comfortable operating at all levels and be happy leading on some processing work;

• Possess excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to engage with senior management.

Job Offer

The offer to the successful candidate will be between £45,000-£50,000 + auto-enrol pension. As a start-up the benefits package will develop over time, but they are offering the opportunity to join a high-growth environment offering excellent career development.
