Cost & NPD Controller

Cost Controller Cpl are delighted to be sourcing for a Cost Controller  to join a real NI success story who are based on the outskirts of Newtownards. Reporting to the Director of Finance, the Cost Accountant will become an integral member of the Finance team and will be responsible for controlling organisation product & operations costs. Responsibilities: Planning, analysing, and collecting data to determine costs of business activity such as raw material purchases and inventory levels and labour and overhead variances Analysing data collected and recording results Analysing changes in product design, raw materials, bills of materials, manufacturing methods or services provided, to determine effects on cost Analysing actual manufacturing costs and preparing periodic reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs Contribute to the development of operational KPIs for the group Report operational KPIs to the business on a routine basis Support the forecast and budget process by updating costings accordingly Recording cost information for use in controlling expenditures Formal review of costing models on a half yearly basis Making estimates of new and proposed product costs Providing management with reports specifying and comparing factors affecting prices and profitability of products or services Maintaining Cost Accounting System including Group wide Bill of Materials Conduct physical inventories and monitor cycle count programs Reconciling finished goods inventories Ability to accurately prepare daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports The ideal candidate ACCA/CIMA or similar qualification Minimum 2 year's experience of operating in a large complex and fast paced accounting environment with proven and demonstrable technical skills Attention to detail and competent at analysing data Experience of a manufacturing organisation essential Remuneration c.£40k For further information on this vacancy, or any other Accountancy job please apply via the link below or contact Darrach Teague in the strictest confidence on 02890725622
