Financial Accountant

Robert Half Financial Services are currently working with a Brokerage firm based in Central London helping them source a Financial Accountant for a 9-month maternity cover.

• Part or fully qualified ACCA/CIMA/ACA
• Good work ethic with an ability to work to tight deadlines with a high degree of accuracy
• Excellent communication skills
• Financial Services experience is essential
• Strong Excel skills with knowledge of advanced formula functions
• Previous experience using SUN accounting system or similar

Rate: £300 - £320 per day.

The Role:

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the firms small but dynamic team. You will be required to work in the fast-paced environment, so you must be a confident candidate with good knowledge of finance operations and the ability to get involved with all aspects of the day to day activities of the finance department.

You must be versatile and adaptable to assist is a variety of tasks within the finance team. The role requires a strong understanding of Financial Accounting and Sun systems together with the ability to problem solve, work independently and directly with team members.

General responsibilities include the treasury and debtor's management functions of finance together with a variety of ad-hoc tasks across finance. As Group Financial Accountant your main responsibilities will include:

• Assisting with the Treasury team monitoring Daily cash and forecasting cash flow.
• Foreign exchange exposure hedging
• Oversee the accounts receivable process for sales and broking business
• Prepare annual financial statements under FRS102
• Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations
• Analyse the monthly accounts and write commentary for the wider business
