Financial Accountant

Robert Half are partnering with an outstanding Manchester-based client looking to secure the services of a new Senior Financial Accountant. In this position you will operate in a critical role for financial reporting with preparation of monthly, weekly, half-yearly and annual accounts. Preparation and reporting of management information will be prominent in this role, and you will play a key part in decision making for senior management.

ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualification and strong technical ability is critical for this job.

Role

• Preparation of statutory accounts - including monthly, quarterly, half-yearly and annual
• Budgeting & Forecasting - Typically alongside senior management on a monthly and quarterly basis, but additionally on ad-hoc time-frames during projects
• Preparation of management information and packs for senior stakeholder review, influencing decision making across the business.
• Contribution towards identification of weaknesses, and implementation of process improvements for wider reporting operation
• KPI analysis and commentary of performance against budget
• Financial analysis for senior managers / board / stakeholders as required
• Reviewing month-end management accounts where required
• Internal and external audit responsibility - Query handling, supervision where required

Profile

• ACA/CIMA/ACCA Qualified Accountant
• Previous experience in a Financial Accountant setting
• Strong Excel skills with ability to demonstrate this
• Ability to prioritise workload
• Self-responsible with ability to work under minimum supervision
• Good organisational skills

Salary & Benefits

Up to £47,000 depending on post-qualification experience
