AVP, Finance & Treasury (Financial Accounting)

Responsibilities:

• Perform core financial control functions and maintain proper accounting records. Examples include:
  - Ledger maintenance and reconciliation control
  - Apply the relevant accounting standards to ensure accounting compliance
  - Support new business/ product launch
  - Prepare/ review management, regulatory, statutory and Head Office reporting;
• Set up/ maintain policies and procedures related to day-to-day responsible tasks;
• Participate in system development and automation projects;
• Supervise and coach subordinates;
• Coordinate and facilitate the internal and external audit as required; and
• Participate in ad hoc projects or other duties for the Division.

Requirements:

• University graduate, preferably in accounting/ finance related disciplines;
• At least 3 years of relevant experience, preferably in the financial sector (candidate with less experience may also be considered provided the relevant skill set is well equipped);
• Good communication skills with excellent spoken and written English and Mandarin;
• Independent, with strong motivation to learn and embrace change;
• Strong ability to manage stress and perform multi-tasks to meet tight schedule.
• Attentive to details with good quality and accuracy;
• Excellent computer skills on top of Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Chinese word processing is preferred;
• Strong knowledge in financial products, including derivatives, and their accounting under IFRS is preferred;
• Qualified accountant with CPA accounting qualifications or equivalent is preferred.
