We are seeking a: CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER The Chief Financial Officer is primarily responsible for leading the day-to-day management of the financial function with best in class controls, processes and procedures, including accounting, internal controls, financial planning, analysis and reporting, build credibility for the company's finance group by developing solutions to business problems, and through the timely and accurate analysis of budgets, financial reports and financial trends in order to assist the CEO and other senior executives in performing their responsibilities. This includes understanding how the company creates value and translating operational metrics into measures for performance, using tools like the balanced scorecard, dashboards and financial statement ratio analysis to analyze and communicate expected and actual financial results; make suggestions for improvement and optimal financial performance Applicants should satisfy the following minimum requirements: General understanding of accounting practices and principles Knowledge of financial and banking regulations Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in preparing and entering financial information Knowledge of finance, budgeting, and cost control principles In-depth knowledge of all accounting functions Strong auditing skills Must be able to lead a team Knowledge of Payroll management Experience with automated accounting systems Ability to maintain confidentiality concerning financial files Strong analytical and problem solving skills Effective written and verbal communication skills Effective time and stress management skills Have an ability to demonstrate sound work ethics Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite (i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook) Qualifications and Experience: Bachelor's Degree in accounting/finance At least fifteen (15) years experience in the hospitality industry At least five (5) years experience as Head of Finance of an organization or as CFO with operational involvement Accounting designation/certification Interested JAMAICAN and CARIBBEAN NATIONALS should send a copy of their applications to the Tourism Product Development Company, 64 Knutsford Boulevard, Kingston 5 or the Jamaica Hotel and Tourist Association, 2 Ardenne Road, Kingston 10.
