About the role: We are currently seeking a Principal - Financial Reporting for our corporate office located in South Brisbane. As the Principal - Financial Reporting, you will report to the Senior Manager Financial Reporting and will be responsible for the management, preparation and distribution of Statutory Financial Reports and associated US GAAP financial reporting for the Australian consolidated business. You will provide technical accounting support to the business as required and provide support to the business on Governance and Compliance matters. Duties will include: Accurate, efficient and timely preparation of financial reports Ensure compliance with Australian statutory reporting and external stakeholder requirements Preparation of general and special purpose financial statements as well as consolidation of group results, including purchase price accounting Preparation of annual solvency statements Assist in the preparation of the A-IFRS and US GAAP impairment calculations for the PAH group Liaising with senior management, internal lawyers, external auditors and company directors Investigating accounting issues, provide technical accounting and structuring advice to the finance team Assist with Business Development M&A and other strategic finance support Manage the preparation of all quarterly analytical procedures for revenue, costs, royalties, profit & loss, and balance sheet for the PAH group Provide support on all Governance and Delegation of Authority matters and assist the business in ensuring appropriate compliance within the group Continuous review and improvement of processes and procedures for improved efficiency and service delivery The lifestyle: This position is offered on a Monday to Friday basis. Peabody has recently introduced flexible start / finish times and ‘Summer Hours' giving employees flexibility to finish at noon on Friday's over the summer months of the year.
