The Role Responsibilities Purpose of the job Evaluate credit applications using quantitative and qualitative analysis according following pre-defined process and DOI, including data integrity check, documentation verification, site visit report evaluation and credit policy compliance check. Ensure compliance to the approval procedures, credit standards, and local regulations Recommend credit decision to accept or reject the application; Approve low risk customers/facilities under designated lending authority (subject to CLSB test and other credit course completion); Assist Credit Approvers in daily portfolio management, product credit risk monitoring and control; Ensure outsourcing SV report quality by providing training, monitoring the quality of the reports, and spot checks, as and when requested by the line manager Key Responsibilities Evaluate risks based on in-depth analysis of complex financial data and thorough understanding of customer's industry, business cycles, and other relevant factors; Evaluate credit applications according to credit risk polices and local regulations, and use relevant data-driven decision tools effectively Prepare daily Pending-SV list and pass to vendor as per guideline; Download daily SV results and keep SV data in good order; Track daily SV status provided by vendor and make sure all pending-SV cases are in tackled as per guideline; Monitor the quality of the SV result via call back customer or physical visit, and record the result; Maintain smooth communication with vendor; Serve as contact point/platform between credit, business, CBO and external counterparties (ie. SV vendor); Develop sound knowledge of specific business industries and personal communication skills for SV monitoring Assist in other administration works as assigned Comply with code of conduct, all laws, regulations, policies, and procedures issued by the regulatory units and the Bank Complete compliance trainings, e-learning and awareness acknowledgements Adhere to risk and compliance requirements in day-to-day responsibilities including timely submission of reports and related documents Learn and reinforce how to ASK Adhere to delegated authority or else escalate Seek clarification in case of doubt Know your customer Our Ideal Candidate Bachelor degree or above, preferably in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or Banking Relevant years of experience. Accounting qualification (e.g. CPA, ACCA) and SME lending experience are strong plus; Thorough understanding of the Bank's credit policies, familiar with local legal and compliance policy Hard working, enthusiastic, dedicated, and goal oriented Good command of written/oral English and Mandarin Good PC skills in particular MS Word / Excel / Power point Independent and detailed analytical mind Good communication skill Ability to manage high pressures & self motivated Apply now to join the Bank for those with big career ambitions.
