The taste Become a member of the expanding North-America (NAM) Financial Controlling Team and grab the chance to discover our NAM business which contributes one third of the sales and 50 PERCENT of Diageo profit. Take part in the transition of new processes from NAM and lets build together the last steps of a truly developed Financial Control model. Be the first point of contact and advisor in case of specific financial transaction. Support the North-American Financial Control team and senior management as well in resolution of complex financial issues. Be involved in major projects/transactions (e.g. mergers and acquisitions, new reporting standard introduction, system integrations and implementations). The role also responsible for the interpretation of the group accounting policies and instructions and communication to the relevant teams. Ingredients Understands and effectively challenges accounting principles and policies, statutory and management reporting and its application to optimize performance and controls risk Be highly involved in the management of area accounting related processes Provide the organization with accounting guidance and business decision support on significant transactions including acquisitions and disposals, distributor contract negotiations, joint venture creation, revenue recognition, etc. Serve as Finance lead on cross functional teams tasked to provide senior management with recommendations on critical business decisions Work with business partners across organization to drive process improvements, mitigate operational risks, and delivery business insight to improve decision making Advise remediation actions on efficiency remarks Be involved in external and internal audits Manages process improvement projects and ad-hoc issues Moves effectively between strategy and operational detail, judging when or where to intervene How to serve University or College degree in finance or accounting Very strong financial accounting background, experience of at least 5-7 years including significant IFRS/US GAAP reporting experience Experience in preparing statutory accounts under IFRS/US GAAP and accounting standards Negotiation level of English language knowledge Proven strong stakeholder and business partner management skills Strong interpersonal and communication skills, customer focused attitude Positive, solution-focused mindset Ability to prioritize and manage tight deadlines ACCA certificate can be an advantage!
