Job Summary This is a Lead position within the Record to Report organization with scope of responsibility for the RtR Team , managing Inventory & Oracle Projects Accounting processes. Ownership of some key month end Revenue Recognition tasks will be also form part of this role. The position will manage a team of 2 direct reports based in Dublin and also have a hands on involvement with accounting of the Revenue & Cost of Goods Sold segments of the trail balance. The candidate must be a strong, effective business and people manager who will take ownership and have full accountability in operating the day to day business in the EMEA RTR Inventory & Project Accounting area and drive the team to perform to its highest standard. The role will support multiple strategic business units throughout EMEA and worldwide through the IRI trading hub . Critical to the role will be the management of stakeholder relationships with senior SBU and Corporate Leaders. Responsibilities Lead a team of 2 direct reports. Manage talent management process for direct reports in a timely manner. This role requires strong leadership and focus on developing and building talent and capability in the team through succession planning. Previous people management experience preferred, in a supervisory role. Must demonstrate leader behaviours to help shape and model desired culture. Build a learning culture with a focus on progressing and developing our key talent. Ensure a regular team cadence with all team members and a regular cadence with team members not at the same location as the team lead. Ensure employee engagement is kept to high level throughout the team. Work Planning and Resource Allocation Coordinating Oracle sub ledger interfaces and subsequent reconciliation with General ledger Inventory & Projects. Close Sub Ledgers and submit any relevant Sub-Ledger Supplement Schedules for HFM reporting Managing all accounting activities related to Inventory & Projects. Meet monthly closing and regional reporting requirements. Ensuring timely and accurate reconciliations of GL accounts managed by the team in line with corporate procedures and GAAP/IFRS. Lead and participate in lean accounting, project and process initiatives. This would include automating routines, supporting reporting excellence and driving productivity actions. Proactively drive process improvements and be able to provide proven track record of achievements. Supporting SMART and Trading Platform roll out. Support Compliance leader and external Audit with their requirements as well as conducting Sarbox test work. Address and rectify compliance issues within area of responsibility. Develop and manage operational goals of the team Solid financial background with experience in a range of accounting processes. Strong knowledge of business processes supported by transaction processing capabilities. Strong analytical and process experience. Development and implementation of performance metrics and KPIs Working effectively with other RtR teams and other functions Qualifications Essential Strong leadership experience in a multinational company, with a proven track record in high levels of employee engagement and building talent.
