Chocolate is the biggest and busiest category in Mondelz UK, with powerful brands like Cadbury, Toblerone, Green & Blacks and Milka. Their success is such that they are the largest reporting entity within Mondelz Europe, therefore their Finance roles have a very high profile and impact within the overall organisation. The UK Chocolate business is managed as three sub-categories Seasonal Tablets, Small Bites & Hot Chocolate Countlines & Multipacks The Commercial Finance Manager reports to the UK Commercial Finance Lead (who reports into Northern Europe FD) and will manage one or more of the sub categories. Partnering the UK category sales team to deliver revenue and profit plan targets through insightful analysis, objective counsel and outstanding decision support, the successful candidate will be working as part of the wider finance team to continuously improve capabilities and ways of working as the business constantly evolves to meet an ever changing environment. Main Responsibilities Build strong relationships with the category planning team based on insight and challenge to ensure finance are able to influence future decisions to drive value. Responsible for the monthly actual, flash and forecast financials, working closely with the sales customer finance team and other stakeholders to provide insight on revenue drivers, risks and opportunities to ensure that the quarterly and annual targets are delivered (Net Revenue, quality of revenue, promotional ROI) Partner with the category finance team to help them build the annual plan for the category. Work with the customer planning team to continually seek to optimise our customer investment decisions through insight, modelling and identification of issues and opportunities through both pre and post evaluation of promotional activity. Build sales/finance team capabilities and support relevant projects, systems and processes. Balance sheet reporting and management of the category balance sheet. Specific project and analysis work to support the delivery of short and longer term category value, e.g. profit domes, JBPs, value drivers, etc. Qualifications Educated to degree level and fully qualified accountant (CIMA / ACA / ACCA). Experience working within a commercial or operational finance environment, preferably within an FMCG company. Effective influencing and communication skills, with an ability to simplify the complex. Strong strategic mindset with excellent analytical skills and a logical way of thinking. Ability to relate to and influence a diverse group of stakeholders. Proactively drives and embraces change, and feels comfortable with ambiguity.
