We are looking for a Financial Accountant with previous experience of the production of monthly management accounts, year-end accounts and financial reporting, to work in a small Finance Team with the main responsibilities being the preparation of full Company Management Accounts, Group Consolidation and Board Packs with presentation to the FD and CFO.
This is an exciting Finance role and a fantastic opportunity to be involved in the end-to-end finance process with good exposure to the Senior Management team within a growing, continually developing and progressive UK wide consumer finance business.
About the Role
Reporting into the Senior Financial Accountant, you will be responsible for ensuring adequate financial controls are in place and taking ownership of the accuracy of the general ledger. You will prepare monthly management accounts for group companies and prepare the group consolidated figures along with the board pack. Other duties include: prepare and maintain balance sheet control accounts within agreed time frames, prepare and maintain fixed asset / lease schedules, prepare and maintain income and impairment calculations, investigate and respond to queries within agreed timescales and format and produce year-end statutory packs. You will also assist the audit process and support the Finance Department with various projects.

An experienced, qualified or part-qualified, accountant with demonstrable experience gained within a similar role, you are an excellent communicator and well organised with, advanced Excel skills and forensic attention to detail.
You can demonstrate that you are highly proficient at prioritising your day to day activities and that you can develop and deliver realistic plans to ensure all routine and ad-hoc accountancy deadlines and targets are fully met within the expected timescales.
If you have experience gained in a fast moving yet regulated environment that would also be helpful.
