Junior Operations Associate - High Profile Asset Manager

Our client, a high-profile asset manager based in central London, is looking for a Junior Operations associate to assist with operational risk and controls within the team. Ideally you will be a recent graduate with at least a year's experience in fixed income operations reconciliations and a passion for this area.

Main responsibilities:

• Identifying new control points and demonstrating awareness of potential operational risk
• Engaging internal teams to ensure new initiatives are implemented and that trade flow connectivity is maintained for STP
• Working closely with Fund Custodians, Prime Brokers, Clearers and Administrators to ensure all trade capture and reporting requirements are adhered to
• Working closely with external vendors to understand key trade flow requirements, Bnk Ledger postings and cash payment deadlines
• Helping to maintain the relationships between Operations and external/middle/back office providers
• Assisting with system upgrades and enhancements, and any potential regulatory breaches
• Actively helping to resolve any position issues raised by the desk or Finance and investigating as necessary to identify the root cause

Essential requirements:

• At least one year's experience in fixed income operations reconciliations
• Interest in / basic understanding of macro / SQL
• Degree level education
