Regional Finance Support Manager - Permanent - Birmingham - £30-35K

Greenwell Gleeson are recruiting for a Regional Finance Support Manager to join a company with a national presence in their Birmingham office. This role will suit a qualified accountant looking for an opportunity to move into a management accountant position where they can grow with the role.

Summary of role

  • Support with the completion of the P&L and balance sheet reconciliations

  • Involved in the constant update and improvement of the processes and controls

  • Reviewing the P&L`s with management for the business units

  • Supporting on year end closure of accounts

  • Supporting the Commercial Finance Manager on improving reporting and business partnering

  • Providing input to the FP&A process for all sites

  • Sharing of ideas on how to improve reporting for the business and within Finance

  • Interpreting and presenting operational data

  • Assist in the implementation and improvement of systems

Key Responsibilities

  • Production and review of P&L

  • Balance sheet reconciliations

  • Business partnering

  • Suggest and implement improvement to processes and controls within the finance function

  • Support closure of accounts in preparation for the year end process

  • Produce accurate and timely information for decision making and management

  • Prepare and update budget information

  • Monitor progress against agreed targets

Skills/Experience Required

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills

  • Self manages and organisation of own time and tasks

  • Forward thinking and ability to communicate benefits to new ideas and innovations

  • Strong analytical and report handling skills

  • Qualified Accountant

  • Confident Business Partner and able to influence key stakeholders

  • Highly Literate in IT and Excel Modelling

  • Service / Retail Background desirable
