We have an excellent opportunity for a Corporate Accounts Assistant to join our Finance team.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Within this role you will be responsible for the processing of Accounting transactions, Financial Administration and the maintenance of our Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions for Greystar’s Corporate Business. Day to day, you’ll support with the preparation of monthly balance sheet reconciliations, quarterly VAT returns, and manage accruals, prepayment and journal postings, along with support on a range of regular and ad hoc financial reporting.

Working with Corporate Finance colleagues, you’ll also assist with the audit process and respond to external audit queries and assist in enhancing current finance processes and controls in place.

ABOUT YOU

This role is ideal for someone with a passion for Real Estate and an interest in a building a career within Real Estate finance. You'll also have:

  • A Degree qualification in a relevant discipline with a desire to achieve/working toward a professional accounting qualification, such as CIMA, ACCA.
  • Experience in a similar position within a corporate environment, handling bank reconciliations, AP and AR workload, projects and producing financial and accounting reporting. Experience working within the property, hospitality, retail or leisure sectors is desirable.
  • An accounting foundation background with a thorough understanding of accounting procedures and double entry book-keeping along with a basic understanding of VAT and Company Structures.
  • Strong numerical, data entry and excel skills; along with experience using accounting systems would be an advantage.

You’ll be an excellent communicator with the ability to engage with a range of stakeholders and build positive relationships to achieve results. You’ll love to work collaboratively within teams as well as independently, with initiative. You’ll have a high attention to detail and a talent for process improvement, great organisation skills and a flexible approach to allow you to work successfully in a rapidly changing environment.
