A Technology company based in London are looking for a Senior Accounts Assistant/Junior Financial controller of a full time permanent basis to start as soon as possible.
Job Specification
Sales, Purchase & Nominal Ledger
• Sales ledger - ensure invoices are raised / posted accurately and in a timely manner.
• Purchase ledger - obtain authorisation from the appropriate person for all purchase invoice
Month & Year end
• Ensure the Trial Balance is up to date at each month end and prepare relevant reports for review by the Financial Controller and/or the Directors.
• Assist the Financial Controller in preparing the Year-end audit file to ensure all information is ready and available for the Accountants.
Payments and Banking
• Responsibility for petty cash including maintenance of petty cash records and completion of a cash reconciliation at each month end.
• Banking of cheques and cash received
• Reconciliation of the credit card account each week
• Credit Control
• Timesheets & expenses
Credit Control
• Weekly review debtors by sending statements, chasing payment by telephone, liaise with Financial Controller to ensure credit control procedures are implemented.
• Complete credit checks on new clients and set accounts
Payroll
• Complete monthly payroll process
• Complete payroll year end process
• Complete yearly P11’D’s
Office Management
• Co-ordinating the office cleaner
• Monitoring office supplies and ordering/purchasing supplies as requested.
• Maintain stocks of stationery and re-order when required.
• Co-ordinating maintenance of photocopier.
Candidate Specification
• Experienced Accountant who has carried out all of the above
• AAT Qualified or on level 4
• Stock control experience
• Experience in Manufacturing company or B2B (Desirable)
• Proactive approach
• Sage experience (Essential)
• Xero (desirable)
