Sheridan Maine is working with an established Accountancy Practice to recruit an exceptional Audit Senior. This Practice prides itself on offering clients a specialist and exemplary service, using years of expertise to offer a wide range of services such as accounting, business support and assurance to clients, relying on relationships formed through commitment and excellence.
The nature of the audits will be complex with an interesting, varied client base.
As Audit Senior within this firm, you will be expected to:
- Review financial accounts following preparation and analysis from a range of different sources -mainly computerised but occasionally manual for clients of the business. Much of this work will be drafted by the junior team for review. These are primarily corporate but can also include unincorporated Charities and Industrial & Provident societies. Financial reporting / disclosure matters
- Assist with audits of company accounts. Ad hoc reporting as required
- Assist with calculation of adjusted profits and capital allowances claims as well as basic tax return preparation work
- Liaise/ support / meet with clients and report writing/letter writing/ telephone support as necessary
- Coaching and support to junior team as required
- Use of in house accounts preparation software and industry standard products such as SAPA, SAGE and QuickBooks
- Use of Microsoft Excel for data analysis and scheduling
The Practice is seeking a Qualified or Part Qualified Auditor (ACA/ ACCA) who can demonstrate a good level of skill with Microsoft Excel and Outlook. The successful candidate will be a self-motivated and progressive individual, with a passion for excellence and quality when it comes to their work.
