Accounts Payable Manager

An Accounts Payable Manager is required by a highly successful, branded business to effectively manage their accounts payable process and team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced AP Manager to take full ownership of the purchase ledger function and to effectively identify and implement change to improve current processes. Key responsibilities include:

- Support, develop and manage the AP team
- Be a pioneer in driving change through the AP process including challenging the status quo
- Scope, define and create a best in class KPI suite for all AP processes and transactions
- Responsible for ensuring that all supplier invoices are approved for payment and invoice queries are resolved promptly, suppliers are paid to terms and suppliers and internal stakeholders are updated
- Identify areas of non-compliance within the business for non-purchase orders, and ensure appropriate remedial action is taken
- Support Accounts Payable team with the resolution of queries where escalation is required
- Engage and drive Business Partnering within Finance and the wider business
- Responsible for monthly control reconciliations for Aged Creditors
- Responsible for ensuring Accounts Payable League tables, and Reports are produced to ensure that data is reviewed and understood for representation to the internal stakeholders
- Responsible for managing monthly reconciliation identifying errors and taking appropriate corrective action

The successful candidate will be a confident and articulate individual with proven experience of financial transactions in Accounts Payable and experience of managing and developing a team. You must be passionate about process improvement and have the ability to motivate and influence the team. Advanced Excel skills and delivery of reporting and analysis are essential.
