Exciting opportunity to help build the local platform
This represents a unique and rare opportunity for an experienced commodity, energy and/or resources professional to join the recently formed, local investment arm of a major Asian conglomerate. Working directly with the head of the Australian business, you will assist in the identification and evaluation of investment opportunities as well as having involvement in the asset management of several existing trading platforms held in the portfolio.
With the oversight of the CIO, you will act as point person on sourcing, structuring and negotiating terms on investments and will develop and prepare investment thesis and papers whilst providing detailed industry research and analysis. In addition, you will have the opportunity to support the broader growth agenda by partaking in fundraising activity and the potential diversification of the portfolio in to other sectors such as LNG, resources and agriculture.
Candidates will have 10+ years of experience likely gained within the structured trade finance teams of a Commercial or Investment bank with a focus on the Energy, Commodity & Resources sectors. Experience gained at a major commodity trading house and/or within the corporate development/investment team of an energy company may also be valuable.
