A Top 10 accountancy practice with a global presence extending across 162 countries and territories, with 73,854 people working out of 1,500 offices. This firm are looking to recruit a Senior Tax Manager into their Manchester office to manage people and a mixed portfolio of clients.

Your new role
As a Senior Tax Manager you will be responsible for assisting Partners in servicing clients, directing Tax services and managing people within the Tax department. You will manage a portfolio of clients including control of billings and cash collection and have regular involvement with tax planning and complex tax issues in conjunction with Partners/Directors. You will act as a major point of contact for clients including, responding quickly to and anticipating client requirements and maintaining regular contact. You will work as part of the management team with other Tax managers to provide support to the rest of the Tax team including support at times for the recruitment and appraising of staff.

What you'll need to succeed
In order to be a successful applicant for this role you will have an up to date and in-depth knowledge of both personal and corporate taxation with experience of operating at a manager/senior manager level in practice. You will have staff management experience and have the ability to manage a substantial client portfolio profitably. You will actively seek opportunities for developing new clients and for selling new services to existing clients. The ideal candidate will be CTA and/or ACA qualified.

What you'll get in return
You will receive a highly competitive salary of between £56,000-£68,000 dependent on experience and 25 days annual leave plus 8 days bank holiday (rises with service).
