Finance Analyst

Well established FMCG business located on the outskirts of Milton Keynes. This market leader are looking for an experienced finance analyst to join their highly progressive finance function.

They are a market leader within the FMCG sector with a national presence, and offices around the country. They are looking for an experienced finance analyst to work within their accounts team, and are keen to help drive there career to the next level by providing ongoing training and mentoring. This role is for their large Milton Keynes site, complete with a modern open-plan office and on-site parking.

Description

Finance Analyst Responsibilities:

• Support the Senior Finance Analyst with weekly and periodic reporting to the Leadership Team
• Aid in the delivery of budgets / quarterly forecasts
• Provide support to Wider business teams where appropriate including Budget and ad hoc queries
• Maintenance of financial models/databases
• Assist with analysis and insight on site and store level
• Maintain and update weekly and periodic analysis, in order to better understand drivers of performance across the business
• Provide individual sites with timely and accurate periodic performance and variance analysis relating to their respective central costs (Labour, Travel costs and Expenses)
• Identify drivers of overspend and prioritise areas of ad hoc analysis. Develop recommendations and action plans to reduce financial risk
• Liaise with the wider business teams internally to produce insightful and analytical interpretation of financial performance, constantly supporting and challenging the teams to be more efficient and being able to support with any queries that they have

Profile

Finance Analyst Requirements:

• Studying towards ACCA / CIMA
• Budgeting/forecasting experience
• Advanced Excel essential
• Strong numerical and analytical skills - ability to focus on the key issues
• Experience in financial systems
• Demonstrated experience in an analytical role
• Demonstrated business partnering experience and be confident in dealing with senior stakeholders
