This Financial Architect role is a varied and challenging role within a fast-moving and dynamic environment, and would suit someone with previous experience of shaping commercial offerings for managed services deals, or those wishing to move from a traditional financial role into a sales setting.
Client Details
Our client are a leading provider in the IT field in based in Hertfordshire and are looking for a Financial Architect.
Description
- Development of customer-specific commercial pricing mechanisms as part of a pre-sales response to customer RFPs
- Co-ordination and consolidation of costs from Service Design teams, resolving conflict, challenge and ensuring costs represent the complete solution, alongside the Solution Manager.
- Formation and ownership of the total commercial view (P&L, cashflow etc) of the deal
- Creation of bespoke dynamic commercial models for use internally and with the customer, taking into account scenario and design variations
- Review and update commercial contracts ahead of client submission and/or agreement
- Ensure proper consideration of all financial aspects within complex, high risk, large scale Managed Service bids
- Provide support to the sales team in assessing a target win-price, benchmarking analysis and/or target cost identification
- Perform quality checks of cost and price calculations provided by other team members
- Assess and understand customers' volume and metrics requirements and understand how these relate to/affect the design and commercial proposition.
- Establish productive networks and communicates up to, and including, management level to build and maintain relationships
- Ensure that calculations are peer reviewed by other team members in a timely manner
- Subject matter expertise on financial considerations in pre-sales and sharing of knowledge within the Financial Architecture teams and across the wider company.
- Present and/or provide financial information to senior stakeholders in the business to support decision-making at key points in the pre-sales process
- Presentation at team meetings, development and delivery of localised SME training and contribution to lessons learned
Profile
- CIMA/ACA/ACCA qualified or QBE (Qualified by Experience)
- Experience of creating bespoke pricing/financial models and mechanisms
- Understanding of financial management concepts and terminology
- Knowledge/experience of the IT services/Technology industry, particularly of outsourced managed services contracts
- Experience of working in a pre-sales environment and knowledge of the bid lifecycle
- Detailed knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications but Advanced-level Excel a must (preferably, but not necessarily including VBA/Macro experience)
- Willing to travel as necessary in line with business needs including overseas
