We are currently recruiting for a Group Finance Manager to support TPL Media all other companies within our Group.

The Role
As our Group Finance Manager, you will prepare and provide financial information, support and advice to staff and management in line with the company’s strategic ambitions and priorities, delivering a high quality financial and management accounts service to the directors. You will also ensure that all Finance Policies and Procedures are carried out in line with appropriate regulations.

Roles and responsibilities:

Develop plans, policies and procedures for all areas within scope of the post and ensure compliance across the business
Represent the business positively and effectively in dealings with external parties.
Manage the Finance team of 7 and develop the implementation of the companies policies, staff appraisals, performance management, and development
Management of Finance team work flow
Responsibility for the maintenance of accounting records that ensures the monthly production of management accounts, balance sheet and cash flow statement.
Cash flow management, including reconciliations of bank accounts as well as Sales analysis month end reports and presentations
Effective and efficient management of debtors and creditors
Ensuring that the key control account reconciliations and finance processes are effectively carried out on a monthly basis
Meeting all relevant statutory requirements including VAT and Inland Revenue returns
To be aware of all current and developing regulatory requirements which impact upon the operations of the financial and commercial aspects and take the necessary actions to ensure adherence
Contribute to the maintenance and development of an effective budget production, monitoring and management system that facilitates and underpins operational and strategic planning.
Monitoring business performance, cash flow, overseeing and monitoring budgets by working with different departments
Preparing accounts, developing financial models and planning for future strategy
Managing group payroll
Any other duties for the requested by the Company it considers appropriate to your abilities, including duties which would not normally be associated with your job title. Schemes with payroll officer and HR

The successful candidate will be proactive who wants to add value to the Finance function and provide a pivotal role for the growth of the business. You will have previous accounting experience and ideally have strong systems experience particular Sage & Excel and be able to demonstrate the implementation of controls. You will possess strong analytical and communications skills as well as the ability to communicate financial reports to non-financial management.

Requirements for the Group Finance Manager Role

Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
At least 3-5 years experience in a similar role and at least 7 years experience within an accounts department
Sage 50 Accounts
Have knowledge of Finance Policies and Procedures
Experienced in all aspects of transactional finance
Able to work on your own under your own initiative when dealing with client and supplier issues
An excellent communicator capable of dealing with a variety of clients and non finance people
Have good Excel skills and be able to produce Pivot Tables, VLook-Ups Graphs and reports for Month-end meetings.
Essential experience of managing a team.

Working hours:

40 hours per week between Monday – Friday (9.00-17.30)
