Your Role


Our growing Abu Dhabi office is currently seeking an Accountant to join our team. We are looking for a proactive team player, with a broad knowledge of financial and accounting practices within the professional services industry.


What You Will Do


Accounts Payable - Consultant and Trade Vendors


- Accurately code and enter approved vendor invoices in Deltek (Vision) software
- Periodic review of all open payables and outstanding cheques
- Review expense reports for accuracy and compliance with Gensler policies
- Consultant/Supplier payables and reconciliations
- Run weekly unbilled employee expense report for weekly reimbursement
- Petty Cash


Accounts Receivable


- Work with DMs to keep A/R current - Report weekly to regional office
- Download and prepare A/R reports as requested
- Assist DMs with chasing A/R


General


- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Fixed Assets reconciliation
- Weekly Timecard Administration
- New Hire orientation - Finance and Payroll information
- Develop understanding of our accounting software so that you are seen as an expert and a resource to staff
- Cross-train and work closely with other team members so that we function as a cohesive and high performing team. Assist the team with any ad-hoc projects or analyses.


Requirements


- Relevant Accounting certification
- At least 5 years' experience in Accounting and Sales Ledger
- Experience of dealing with international currencies and exchange rates
- Experience in A/E industry or a professional services firm preferred
- Proficient using Advanced Excel, Word, E-mail and the Internet
- Knowledge of Deltek Vision a plus
- Excellent organizational skills as well as a high attention to detail
- Ability to communicate effectively with individuals at all levels
- Must be able to prioritize and meet deadlines
- Ability to work within a team environment and work independently
- Analytical, Proactive, Problem solver
