Do you have experience of working within an accountancy practice and can run accounts to trial balance stage?

Are you a confident user of Sage 50 Accounts and Sage Payroll with exceptional Excel skills?

The role will involve:

* Purchase and Sales Ledger
* Raising sales invoices
* Processing monthly applications on Excel for submission by application due date
* Processing purchase invoices
* Setting up supplier payments for authorisation
* Authorising staff purchase requests and allocate purchase order numbers accordingly
* Credit control including generating weekly debtors reports with full feedback on previous week’s events, chasing due balances (firmly when required), instructing legal action when required, processing reminder / chaser / on stop letters at intervals specified without fail
* Generating and sending customer statements at month end
* Work alongside office manager to manage suppliers including utilities, insurances, telephones, IT support, leases etc. to ensure accuracy and value for money
* Statutory reporting and control
* Processing C.I.S returns
* Processing VAT returns
* Setting up payments for PAYE, C.I.S and VAT for authorisation
* Production of final accounts file for external accountants at year end and liaising through final accounts preparation
* Reconciliation of all bank accounts, credit cards and petty cash
* Management of credit card expenditure including ensuring credit card request forms are completed and logged
* Upkeep of 12 week cashflow on daily basis
* Management reporting
* Preparation of draft weekly job costing reports for approval
* Ownership of prepayments and accruals, depreciation and maintenance of fixed asset registers
* Reconciliation of balance sheet accounts
* Preparation of draft monthly management accounts for approval
* Payroll - Processing monthly payroll for approx. 15 office staff on Sage, Processing fortnightly payroll for approx. 5 employed contractors on Sage, Processing fortnightly payroll for circa 60+ subcontractors using Excel from the daily diary spread sheet, including dealing with subcontractor queries on their wages
* Sage Payroll to include processing pension data with NEST, submitting RTI and all other PAYE and HMRC reporting
