Assistant Accountant

Our client is creating a brand new Assistant Accountant position in their organisation to undertake some fundamental duties acting as a bridge between the commercial, sales, procurement, operations and finance teams. This is an exciting opportunity for those driven and ambitious up and coming part qualified finance candidates.

Our client is a large manufacturing organisation based in Swadlincote. They have been going from strength to strength in the past few years and now are looking to take force in the European market. Above all, the teams there are long standing and there is a great family feel, whereby everyone chips in to help each other.

Description

Your key duties and responsibilities within this role will include:

• Product costing and billing of materials analysis;
• Labour analysis;
• Assistance with budgeting and forecasting;
• Variance analysis at period end;
• Assistance with some transactional duties where necessary;
• Liaising with key internal stakeholders across a variety of departments to provide KPI information for financial reporting packs;
• Adhoc project work.

Profile

The successful candidate will be a part qualified accountant who ideally has worked within the manufacturing industry with some exposure to costing. You will be a real team player, always happy to help and engage with others inside and outside your direct team. You will have strong excel skills and presentation ability where necessary.
