Our client is an international financial institution that focuses on providing clients with global investment solutions that meet the demands and challenges of sophisticated and complex investment and economic circumstances. They are currently looking for a high calibre candidate to join them in Hong Kong.
Assist in the financial operations and planning by preparing annual profit plan, monitoring and analysing performance against plan, variance analysis and reporting financial performance. Process necessary accounting entries per Chart of Accounts. Assist in expense management and control and ensure compliance with policy. Assist in the control of suspense/deferred expenses items. Assist to properly control unit's budget and ensure exception approval is in place for overrun cases. Stay abreast of the regional/global trend and best practices related to expense management.
Maintain sound knowledge and understanding of all approved operating procedures including accounting and reporting requirements, local banking and taxation requirements, SOX requirements and multi-currency general ledger system to ensure the operation efficiency of financial and regulatory reporting functions. Prepare and analyse variances on financial and regulatory returns. Responsible for monitoring of the statutory requirements on liquidity, capital adequacy and large exposure. Conduct regular projections on liquidity for presentation in the monthly ALCO meeting, and scenario analysis on liquidity and capital adequacy on ad hoc basis for management decision making.
To be considered, you should be a degree holder with around 2 to 3 relevant experience in management or regulatory reporting, or from professional firm. Possession of accounting designation, thorough accounting knowledge and experience. Sound communication skills.
