Management Accountant

A permanent role for a Management Accountant for a successful business based in Ellesmere Port.

Client Details

A leading service business based in Ellesmere Port with a £80m turnover, and growing on an international level, this business has over 200 employees with several sites across the UK.

Description

This Management Accountant role will report directly into a FD but will also work closely with other site directors, and will cover the following areas:

• Producing full set of management accounts
• KPI reporting and analysis of key results including detailed reports
• Posting journals on a monthly basis
• WIP calculations
• Monthly balance sheet reconciliations
• Maintaining the fixed asset register
• VAT returns
• Supporting stakeholders with analysis to assist with key decision making
• Preparing for year end audits, SAR audit and tax packs
• Assisting in purchase ledger, bank reconciliations, daily reporting

Profile

This is a great opportunity for a candidate that prefers a hands on and results-focused role. We are also looking for:

• Strong management accounts experience from a similar role, ideally within a legal firm
• Excellent Excel skills
• IT literate with strong systems knowledge
• Strong communication skills
• Methodical and high attention to detail
• Part qualified CIMA/ACCA with a desire to qualify in the next couple of years
• Good time management skills with a flexible approach
