Trainee Accountant

UK Leading Ladies fashion wear based in East London is looking for an Assistant Accountant to join their team due to continued growth.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Stock Accounting

Accounting of stock purchase invoices ensuring accuracy - price, quantity, receipts and corrective action as appropriate.
Approve invoice for payment
Prepare and review monthly stock reports summary for each of the DCs.

Sales Accounting

Balance Sheet Accs

Other Accounting:

Preparation of month end journals for key areas of the business
Prepare and review monthly head office cost centre reports, identifying and explaining key
Prepare and submit all regulatory reports (EC Sales list, VAT Returns, ONS statistic reports)
Assisting and supporting the team members during busy periods i.e. month end, quarter end,
Various other ad-hoc duties within the finance department
Support the Finance Director with other tasks as assigned.

Requirements:

The role would suit a person at the beginning or early stages of their career in finance and keen to develop further.
At least 6 - 12 months accounting experience with at least 6 months in a similar accounts role
Must be a graduate, ideally studying for ACCA exams

Strong commercial exposure and awareness, enthusiastic team player with excellent
Team player with the ability to build strong relationships
Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate financial information
Motivated individual with good attention to detail
Must be able to work independently
Strong Excel Skills, experience in Sage and commercially minded.
Keen to develop a career in finance
Ability to multitasking and meet multiple deadlines
Flexibility to work in a fast paced changing environment
Experience in FMCG would be an advantage
