My client based in Blyth are looking to recruit a Trainee Accountant (Graduate) to join their team on a full time, permanent basis.

Key responsibilities:
- Post and journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded
- Update accounts receivable and issue invoices
- Update accounts payable and perform reconciliations
- Assist in the processing of balance sheets, income statements and other financial statements according to legal and company accounting and financial guidelines
- Assist with reviewing of expenses, payroll record records etc.
- Bookkeeping/ invoice processing
- Cashbook management
- Assist with accounts preparation
- Ledger reconciliations
- Update financial data in database to ensure that the information will be accurate and immediately available when needed
- Prepare and submit weekly/monthly reports
- Assist in the preparation of monthly/yearly closings
- Assist with other accounting projects
- Assisting with budgeting and forecasting
- Planning and analysis
- Financial reporting
Skills:
Essential
- Strong IT skills, with a good working knowledge of Microsoft office packages
- Strong numerical ability
- Analytically strong with the ability to challenge
- Ability to plan and manage changing priorities
Desirable
- Accounting or Business degree qualified
- SAGE experience
