My client based in Blyth are looking to recruit a Trainee Accountant (Graduate) to join their team on a full time, permanent basis.

Key responsibilities:

  • Post and journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded
  • Update accounts receivable and issue invoices
  • Update accounts payable and perform reconciliations
  • Assist in the processing of balance sheets, income statements and other financial statements according to legal and company accounting and financial guidelines
  • Assist with reviewing of expenses, payroll record records etc.
  • Bookkeeping/ invoice processing
  • Cashbook management
  • Assist with accounts preparation
  • Ledger reconciliations
  • Update financial data in database to ensure that the information will be accurate and immediately available when needed
  • Prepare and submit weekly/monthly reports
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly/yearly closings
  • Assist with other accounting projects
  • Assisting with budgeting and forecasting
  • Planning and analysis
  • Financial reporting

Skills:

Essential

  • Strong IT skills, with a good working knowledge of Microsoft office packages
  • Strong numerical ability
  • Analytically strong with the ability to challenge
  • Ability to plan and manage changing priorities

Desirable

  • Accounting or Business degree qualified
  • SAGE experience
