Your new company
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full time Purchase Ledger Supervisor located not far from Hexham. To manage the Accounts Payable team and take overall responsibility for the Purchase Ledger function.

Your new role
As the Purchase Ledger Supervisor you will be responsible for the following duties along with staff supervision.

• Process the supplier/expense payment runs for both UK and foreign suppliers, ensuring suppliers are paid on a timely basis and remittances sent out in a timely manner.
• Deal with supplier queries both internally within the Company and with the external suppliers
• Ensure supplier statement reconciliations are completed in a timely manner
• Maintain the Goods Received Not Invoiced account ledger ensuring the balance is materially correct at month end
• Lead monthly creditor reviews and drive actions through to conclusion in a timely manner
• Assist with the month end process i.e. control account reconciliations
• Provide assistance to the Financial Controller for the timely completion of EC Sales / Intrastat returns.
• Responsible for ensuring that all credit card expenditure is recorded in line with company policy and all expenditure recorded in the financial system in a timely manner.

To succeed you will need to have experience in a similar role with the ability to demonstrate that you have strong management skills and strong communication skills. You will also be a very organised individual and be able to work on your own initiative.
