Finance Manager

This interim Finance Manager role will work as part of a small team, contributing to month end, monthly outlook, quarterly reporting and management accounting, while helping to develop the finance team.

My client is huge PLC with many group organisations operating in the business services sector.

Description

The Finance Manager will work as part of a small team for this group organisation. You will contribute towards the development of functional finance strategy, providing strong core finance knowledge and acting as an expert in one or more finance work areas. Preparation of monthly outlook and biannual forecasting as well as month-end, quarter-end consolidation and management reporting.

• Impacts on financial performance and business unit strategy of defined business area
• Owns relationship & influences at Director level
• Leads the budgetary and financial control activities for defined financial area within a business unit to meet needs of all stakeholders
• Act as a business partner or specialist role for specific business unit
• Responsible for building and maintaining strong manager level relationships both internally and externally with customers, suppliers or other major bodies. Considered a strategic business partner
• Personally accountable for ensuring financial accounting policies and process is followed
• May have direct people / resource management responsibility (e.g. in large teams) and / or review work of more junior roles

Profile

The Finance Manager will be:

• Qualified accountant
• Degree level
• Experience within a similar role/environment (Finance Business Partnering, Finance and Process Controls, Cost Transformation, Business Case Developments etc)
• Strong change management experience and commercial awareness
• Ability to influence senior stakeholders
• Utilities, Outsourcing, Business and professional services sector would be of interest but not essential

Job Offer

c£50,000 plus car allowance

9 month fixed term contract

Immediate start or ASAP, end of September at the latest
