Trainee Finance Accountant

An excellent career opportunity for a Finance Graduate or equivalent looking to join a market leading FMCG business on an interim basis. Based out of the regional Hertfordshire office the Finance Graduate or equivalent will have the opportunity to become an integral part of their well established finance team and further their career in finance.

Reporting to and working alongside the Accounts Payable Supervisor, the Finance Graduate or equivalent will be responsible for the following:

• Processing a high volume of invoices onto the financial system
• Matching batching and coding of purchase ledger invoices
• Preparing payment runs (BACS and cheques)
• Reconcile supplier statements
• Obtain copies of any outstanding invoices and correct any differences between the internal system and the suppliers statement

You will ideally have:

• Finance Degree or equivalent
• Previous experience and knowledge of high volume invoice processing
• Strong communication and inter-personal skills
• Intermediate excel capability [Pivot Tables and V-Lookups]
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate and influence internal and external stakeholders
