Senior Project Manager within Société Générale - DFIN / DTO / ASIA (Finance project team for Asiapac)
  • Finance processes knowledge with Project functional background on Front to Accounting processes ahead with IT functional architecture, Accounting norms and standards (IFRS, local GAAP is a plus), Regulatory Reporting processes and Tax
  • Understanding of new Digital Technologies
  • Liquidity and Scarce Resources Management will be a plus
The department Digital & Transformation Office (DFIN / DTO) is dedicated to the Financial Department (DFIN) to help define its vision, to support its transformation and respond to new Business needs and external constraints (regulatory, accounting norms)

Main Mission

Steer the Finance Transformation

The Senior Project Manager is in charge of:

  • Defining & leading strategic projects roadmap orientations
  • Steering budget with sponsors and ensure budget execution
  • Challenging IT program orientations/roadmaps / costs (critical view out of project framework) based on expertise, 360 degrees' perspective of operational processes and ongoing evolutions
Transforming the Operating Model


The Senior Project Manager is also in charge of:
  • Contributing to the strategy of the Operating Model (IS Strategy for example) and contributing to the Functional architecture review
  • Ensuring and proposing solution to handle the alignment of the global Finance processes in Asia to the Global Operating Model
  • Providing support to the operational teams for any re-organization or optimization of the Operating Model
Continuous Improvements
The Senior Project Manager is in charge of:

  • Identifying the opportunity of improvement
  • Proposing new way of thinking
  • Promoting Digital Transformation & Innovation
  • Driving the functional changes such as process improvements or any project not involving IT.
He / She will report locally to the head of DFIN / DTO Asia Pacific team

Main Responsibilities

  • Monitor the DFIN / DTO roadmap delivery for a grouping of different projects or studies
  • Support and coach DFIN / DTO resources working for the projects: ensure delivery with good quality, on time & on budget of all underlying projects, anticipate roadblocks & capacity of execution issues
  • Define, structure and monitor the project portfolio and their roadmap for the Finance scope
  • Demonstrate deep understanding on the topics, become a functional trusted partner of the sponsors
  • Raise alerts on time, effectively communicate to senior stakeholder's cross departments, represent FINANCE APAC in the Regional/Global organization
  • Implement the roles and behaviours reinforcing the dialogue with team and partners (WW)
  • Follow up needs in terms of budget prioritization & digital transformation
Contribute to FINANCE APAC Transformation


Contribute to the delivery of the transformation roadmap on his/her scope within budget and timeframe and at the level of quality required by
  • Leading studies and projects or
  • Contributing as DTO to projects led by other departments (IT team for IS transformation project, Operations or Front Office departments when they have the sponsorship, head office for global project)
- Participate to the upstream definition of the strategy and the roadmap
- Ensure Project governance is in place and communicated effectively. Represent Asia as the main point of contacts for DFIN / DTO Paris when relevant
- Build the business case to seek funding prior to the launch of a project
- Ensure Target Operating Model is in line with global/regional standard taking local specifics into account
- Identify the opportunity of improvement and propose new initiatives, promote new way of thinking, innovation
- Manage Project life-cycle including critical path and mile-stone tracking, identification and management of constraints and dependencies, scopechange, resource allocation and budget, and contingency planning.
- Overcome problems and find solutions to deliver the roadmap. Escalate any key issues, alerts or risk on due time to the management
- Review and pro-active challenge solution and project deliverables to ensure adherence to quality standards
- When applicable, understand the Test strategy design and preparation under the Project manager accountability
- Develop, maintain and regularly communicate a full-scope Project status report with the key stakeholders of her / his project
- Organize and Lead projects working groups with different stakeholders imply in the project
- Accompany the production team in the Change Management
- Conducting Post-implementation reviews and pro-actively refining the department's offer and approach to satisfy Finance Management and client departments

Profile

Academic Background

  • Engineer degree, Msc, MBA, Bsc / Ba, CPA/CA, CFA, FRM would be a plus


Technical Skills
  • Project Management skills, Accounting norms and standards (IFRS, local GAAP is a plus), products accounting knowledge, regulatory reporting processes, process re-engineering
  • Corporate & Investment Banking (Advisory, Financing and Global Markets) knowledge - Global Transaction Banking is a plu
  • Liquidity and Scarce Resources Management as well as Product control is a plus
  • Office pack, internal IT architecture (FO to regulatory reporting)
