This is a fantastic Cambridge based opportunity to join a market leader in the Consultancy and Business Services sector. They are currently looking for a Finance Data Analyst who is looking to have strategic involvement through sound data analysis for the Finance, Sales and marketing functions. With a strong analytical skill set, modelling, and experience using Excel (pivot tables, vlookups, macros)

Description

As a Finance Data Analyst, your key responsibilities will be:

  • Supporting the global finance team on regional and global financial analysis
  • Tracking, measuring and reporting of various financial and other KPIs
  • Assist with the development of Finance Business Partnering
  • Liaising with other other Business Partners to track and measure savings initiatives
  • Producing and designing management reports and presentations
  • Building excel models and templates for internal stakeholders
  • Support the Commercial Finance Manager in providing the business with insightful budget and forecast analysis
  • Continually improving methods and processes in reporting/ analysis/ commercial team support
  • Main focus around developing business relationships internally and externally
  • Exposure to business strategies

Profile

The successful Finance Data Analyst will be:

  • A progressive analyst with experience managing high volumes of complex data and turning it into strategic management reports
  • Exceptional excel skills - previous experience in analysis/ reporting roles - Modelling, Macros, Pivot tables, Vlookups, Sumifs
  • Experience in KPI performance management analysis
  • Personality - drive, initiative, someone who is inquisitive, exceptional interpersonal skills
  • Strong relationship building skills
  • Beneficial to have a grounding in finance and any knowledge of marketing and sales is a bonus but non essential
